A small team with a big frustration.
Calendify was born in a Casablanca waiting room. It turns out no one — patient or professional — actually wants things to work this way. So we started rebuilding.
The problem was obvious. The solution wasn't.
In 2024, one of us spent 90 minutes in a waiting room for an 11 AM appointment. The doctor was running late. There was no way to know by how much. The only option was to sit.
That evening we sketched the first version of Calendify on a café napkin. Not a calendar app — those already exist, and most of them are imported from somewhere else. A live queue, built for the way practices actually run in Morocco: with walk-ins, delays, long lunch breaks, emergencies, and patients who speak three languages.
The professionals we talked to didn't want more software. They wanted fewer tools — one clean workspace that replaced their phone book, their WhatsApp group, and their paper appointment ledger. We built that.
Patients didn't ask for another app either. They just wanted to show up at the right time. So we made Calendify free for patients, always — and made sure the whole thing works in a plain mobile browser if they don't want to install anything.
That's still the whole job, three years in: fewer tools, less friction, more calm.
Skip the waiting room.
Keep the care.
Everything we build is bent toward one goal: the moment a patient walks in, it should be their turn. Not a minute before, not a minute after.
How we decide what to build
Four principles that settle most of our internal debates — quickly.
Patients first
Every decision starts with one question: does this make life calmer for the person in the waiting room?
Fast beats perfect
Shipping a rough feature to real practices teaches us more than a month of planning ever could.
Trust is earned
Healthcare data is not a growth lever. We treat it like it matters — because it does.
Made for Morocco
Trilingual by default. Local payment rails. Built with Moroccan clinics, not imported from elsewhere.
